Employment Requirements

  • All student workers must bring I-9 approved identification documents.
  • A list of accepted documents is found on the I-9 form in the business office.
  • The most common I-9 approved ORIGINAL documents are driver’s license and social security card or passport (This is recommended if you do not have list B or C documents).
  • Passport AND social security cards are required for international students to work.
  • Bring these documents to the business office and complete tax paperwork and a contract before your employment begins. ** Copies of these documents will NOT be accepted.**

Job Requirements
Have a clear voice, good pronunciation to speak over speaker system.
Be available for home games.
Ability to read scripts and add lib when necessary.
Be reliable and on times for games.

Athletics: Game Video Recorder

Job Description
Record games during volleyball/basketball season.

Job Requirements
Must be at game 30 minutes prior to start.  Each sport has different requirements, must be willing to learn.
Be available on evenings and weekends.
Must not be afraid of heights.

 

Elementary Math Tutor (Work Study Only)

Job Description
Student will be a mathematics tutor for elementary aged students in the Hannibal School District.
Tutor sessions will take place during the school day at the elementary (8:30am – 3:00pm) and will work around your class schedule.
Tutoring sessions may be with one or more elementary students.
Student may help teachers with various tasks in the classroom.
Participating schools include A.D. Stowell, Eugene Field, Mark Twain, Veterans

Please specify which school you are interested in working at. Your request will be considered but not guaranteed.

Information Desk (Work Study Preferred)

Job Description
Students will sit at the information desk, answer the phone, and give directions to visitors.
Hours needed: Mon-Thurs 3-5 and Tues/Thurs 12-5.

Job Requirements
Students must dress and act professional as they sit at the information desk.
Must have good communication skills.
Be friendly to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

 

Theater Arts

Job Description
No previous experience in theatre required.
May include some involvement with preparation for theatrical productions.
Good organizational skills preferred.
Daily tasks may include: organizing props and costumes; script and file organization; script notebook preparation; flyer and promotional item creation or distribution.
Must be able to work independently.
Flexible hours.

 

Theater Scene Shop Assistant

Job Description
Some woodworking experience preferred.
No other theatre experience necessary.
Flexible hours between 1:00pm and 4:00pm Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Some additional hours available near to production dates.
Tasks include: constructing sets for theatrical productions; use of power tools, including saws and drills; comfort with construction basics;
Ability to work from sketches and floor plans; painting (basic painting is all that is necessary, but candidates comfortable with detail work will be preferred).
Fast paced working environment.

 

YMCA (Work Study Only)

Job Description
Students will help with the YMCA childcare center or with YMCA training programs to be paid community service wages through the Federal Work Study Program.

Job Requirements
Students must be Work Study eligible.
Students who are majoring in Early Childhood Education, Elementary Education, or Exercise & Sports Science related fields are preferred.
Students must be able to provide their own transportation to the YMCA.
