Southeastern Community College

HLG has a unique partnership with Southeastern Community College's South Campus in Keokuk, Iowa. Students can easily transfer into HLG's ADVANCE Program to earn a Bachelor of Applied Science or Bachelor of Science degree. ADVANCE Program classes for the organizational management major will soon be offered on SCC's South campus. Majors in organizational management or administration of justice are available through the 18-month ADVANCE Program on the HLG campus. Check out the following options:

Bachelor of Applied Science

  • Students can complete the general education requirements at SCC (63-75 credit hours) for completion of an AAS degree before transferring into HLG's BAS program.
  • HLG will accept the AAS degree as part of the 124 credit hours required for the BAS degree.
  • All HLG graduation requirements must be met for the BAS degree.
  • HLG will accept MAT:704 Mathematical Applications, MAT:102 Intermediate Algebra, MA:110 Math for Liberal Arts, MAT:127 College Algebra and Trigonometry or higher as fulfillment for the BAS math requirement.

Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts

  • Students can complete the requirements for an AA degree (62-66 credit hours) though SCC.
  • HLG will accept the AA degree as part of the 124 hours required for the Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree.
  • The SCC AA degree will meet all HLG general education requirements with the following qualifications:
    MA:127 College Algebra and Trigonometry, MAT:140 Finite Math, MAT:165 Business Calculus, MAT:128 Pre-Calculus Mathematics, MAT:210 Calculus 1, MAT:216 Calculus II, MAT:219 Calculus III, MAT:149 Linear Algebra, or MAT:227 Differential Equations with Laplace are required to meet HLG's general education math requirement.
  • All HLG graduation requirements must be met for the BS or BA degree.
  • Vocational courses are nontransferable toward HLG's Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts degree.
