New Student Orienation: Meet Your Team Leaders

Your Team Leader’s job is to introduce you to life at HLGU by guiding you and five to nine other students through New Student Orientation. They will be in contact with you throughout the summer to answer any questions and address any concerns. Meet some of our team leaders...

Being a team leader, I get the opportunity to be a part of every new student¹s first week away from what they used to know as life. They are fixing to change what they know, how they feel, who they are, and some even what they believe and that is the greatest part. When I was a NSO student, I was influenced to begin latching onto my savior. My life was changed forever.

"I became a Team Leader because I had an awesome time at my own orientation. It gives you the perfect opportunity to introduce yourself to new students and make new friends. NSO helped me learn more about the campus and town in a entertaining way. This year there are going to be tons of fun activities."

I wanted to be a team leader because I want to help out the new students coming on to campus, just like my leader did. What I got out of NSO was relationships. Coming into a new atmosphere like HLGU is a scary process, and I started relationships with people during NSO that made my first year of college easy.
