HLGU alumni and friends will soon be receiving phone calls from current HLGU students. This year’s annual phonathon will take place February 3-13 with calls being made in the evenings. Recipients of phonathon calls will have the opportunity to share their HLGU experience, and learn how they can make a difference in the lives of current HGLU students.
Gifts made to this year’s phonathon will go directly into HLGU’s Annual Fund. The HLGU Annual Fund complements funding from other sources to provide the difference between what students pay in tuition and what it really cost to educate them. Since our first concern is the student, we want to make education as affordable as possible. Without the HLGU Annual Fund, tuition would increase significantly.
The HLGU Annual Fund makes possible advancements in areas such as general student scholarships, resources to enhance learning, high quality programs and faculty, Christian ministry opportunities, and urgent priorities.
During the phonathon days, current HLGU students will contact more than 3,000 HLGU alumni and friends asking for their support. Recipients of phonathon calls are asked to please remember the person calling them is a student and not a telemarketer and are asked to be ready to share a story or give a kind word of encouragement.
