Join us for the 3rd Annual Alumni & Friends Work Day!

Please help us prepare the campus for the new school year by helping with the Third Annual Alumni and Friends Work Day at Hannibal-LaGrange University on August 17, 2013 from 7:30 am to 11 am! No advanced skills are necessary. The morning will include hard work, great fellowship, and service to HLGU. We'll meet at the Snack Shack on the first floor of the Burt Administration Building at 7:30 am.

Projects that need to be completed:
+ Weed eating and flowers to water
+ Street cleanup
+ General last minute cleaning of dorm rooms
+ Some miscellaneous (minor) repairs to dormitories
+ Small paint projects

Hannibal-LaGrange University will provide a list of projects to prepare campus for the fall semester and a “thank you” BBQ will be held at 11 am on The Patio located in front of the Partee Center on campus.

For more information or to enlist as a volunteer, please contact Alumni Director Lauren Youse ’05 at or (573) 629-3126 by Wednesday, August 14th. If you can’t commit to working all morning, we’ll gladly work with your schedule. Volunteers should be age 12 or older.

If you cannot make it but wish to help with supplies for this year's Work Day, you can make a contribution to Hannibal-LaGrange University and earmark it for the Work Day. Make a gift by check or make your gift online and mention the Work Day in the special instructions field.

Dr. Allen to Hold Informational Gathering for 10-day Biblical Tour of Israel on August 13th.

Dr. Anthony Allen, President, Hannibal-LaGrange University, will host an informational gathering on August 13th to explain the details of and answer questions about the ten-day Biblical tour of Israel he is hosting in February.

The meeting will start at 7 pm in the Roland Fine Arts Center on the HLGU campus and will include a presentation from Dr. Allen, a question and answer session, and an informational video.

"I'm looking forward to sharing more information about this exciting trip," said Dr. Allen. "We will also be able to share additional information and details about the itinerary and sites that we will visit. We will enjoy a great time traveling together visiting the most notable biblical sites, and learning more about Israel."

Sites along the tour include the Mt. of Beatitudes, Sea of Galilee, Mt. Carmel, Caesarea, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and the Dead Sea to name a few.

"We have given great attention to make sure that this trip is pleasurable and informative," Dr. Allen continued. "Besides seeing all of the most important biblical and archeological sites, we will be able to enjoy deluxe accommodations and food during our stay in Israel."

The tour is planned by Imagine Tours and Travel, LLC and payment price includes round trip airfare, hotels, guided sightseeing, daily breakfast and dinner, and transportation from HLGU to departure city St. Louis, among other things. Additional departure cities are available upon request.

An initial deposit of $500 per person is due with registration. Early bird savings of $80 will be given if payment is received by July 28, $70 by August 23, and $60 by September 23.
