Hannibal-LaGrange University’s Graduate and Online Division will be giving away a 16GB iPad mini. To be eligible, Master of Science in Education and Master of Arts in Leadership graduate students must be fully accepted and enrolled by August 12, for the fall 2016 cohorts. Classes start August 22.

“Now is an excellent time to get your master’s degree,” said Dr. Jill Arnold, director of graduate and online programs. “We have wonderful programs that offer five-week courses. Many of our master’s programs can be completed in as little as one year. So if you are looking for a great learning experience, we have the degree for you!”

HLGU’s Master of Arts in Leadership program, with tracks in Christian ministry and business management, focuses on educating business, community, church/non-profit leaders innovative ways to think about their roles in their own organizations and communities, and how they might inspire change by looking at the world from a different perspective.

MAL courses are designed to engage students in creative processes between academic theory and real-world application. Leadership styles, business ethics, and the value of effective relational communication will be explored. This one-year, cohort-model program emphasizes a collaborative team learning experience.

The HLGU Master of Science in Education degree is designed to provide a program for professional growth for elementary and secondary teachers holding current teacher certification, or for those interested in receiving initial certification.

There are three MSE tracks to choose from, teaching and learning, special reading K-12, and teaching and learning with initial teaching certification.

Integrating research from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards, the goals for MAL graduates will include the ability to utilize concepts, theories, and research to enhance student learning, effectively plan and implement classroom instruction and assessment, expand the knowledge base of teaching and learning, and exemplify professionalism as lifelong learners.
