HLGU Announces Spring Musical – Little Women

The Hannibal-LaGrange University Theatre Department will be presenting three performances of Little Women, the musical, April 11-13 at 7 pm in the Roland Fine Arts Center.

Community members are invited to audition for a limited number of roles. Vocal auditions will be held Monday evening, January 14, and acting auditions will be held Tuesday evening, January 15.

Produced nationally and internationally, Little Women has been praised by critics for its ambition in adapting such a well-known story for the stage. This timeless, captivating story is brought to life in this glorious musical filled with personal discovery, heartache, hope, and everlasting love.

Based on Louisa May Alcott’s life, Little Women follows the adventures of sisters, Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy March and their experiences growing up in Civil War America. It embodies the complete theatrical experience, guaranteeing a night filled with laughter, tears, and a lifting of the spirit.
