HLGU’s 6th Annual Iron Chef Competition, held on Thursday, January 26th once again featured some wonderfully creative dishes and a lot of fun. Five teams competed for the coveted HLGU Iron Chef “trophy”.

The McDonald's Trojan Basketball Halftime Shoot-Out Challenge is back! One HLGU Student will be selected from each of the HLGU home basketball games to take the "Shoot-Out Challenge".

HLGU alumni and friends will soon be receiving phone calls from current HLGU students. This year’s annual phonathon will take place February 12-23 with calls being made in the evenings. Recipients of phonathon calls will have the opportunity to update the University on what’s been going on with them since HLGU.

Hannibal-LaGrange University has released the names of students who qualified for the Academic Dean’s List for the fall 2011 semester. To qualify for the Dean’s List, the student must maintain a grade point average of 3.5 or higher while carrying a minimum class load of 12 hours.

On Tuesday, January 3, Hannibal-LaGrange University’s vice president of Institutional Advancement, Steve Miller, presented Hannibal Regional Hospital’s 2012 New Year’s Baby, Audriana Gipson a $2000 scholarship.

With the sun shining and temperatures above normal, the graduates of Hannibal-LaGrange University completed the “Walk of Honor” they started as a freshman. The HLGU Winter Commencement Ceremony was held on Saturday, December 18 in the Mabee Sports Complex.
