The Lady Trojans and Lady Wildcats battled back and forth to a 24-24 deadlock before two attacking errors on Culver-Stockton gave Hannibal-LaGrange the first set.

After a 3-0 deficit in the second set, the Lady Trojans built a 10-6 lead before letting Culver-Stockton battle back to 10-10 tie.  Hannibal-LaGrange and Culver-Stockton traded points several times before the Lady Wildcats finally took the 13-12 lead.  The Lady Trojans found itself down five, 21-16, to Culver-Stockton but battled back to take a 22-21 lead.

Hannibal-LaGrange and Culver-Stockton traded blows as the two found it selves tied at 22, 23, 24 and 25 before the Lady Wildcats took the final two points.  The 27-25 loss tied the match at one apiece and gave the Lady Wildcats its lone win of the night.

The Lady Trojans once again had to battle from behind to win the third set 25-23.  Hannibal-LaGrange grabbed small leads and stuck close to Culver-Stockton early in the set but eventually fell behind after a 5-1 Lady Wildcat run gave Culver-Stockton a 17-12 lead.

Not to be outdone, the Lady Trojans went on a run of its own to fight its way back into the contest.  A 9-4 Lady Trojan run tied the set at 21 and the ladies finished off the Lady Wildcats with two kills by Calderon for a 25-23 set win.

Much like the first set, the final set of the night featured several ties and lead changes.  After nine ties and six lead changes, the Lady Trojans couldn’t grab the lead back from the Lady Wildcats.  Hannibal-LaGrange fought its way to five ties with Culver-Stockton before it finally took a 21-20 lead.

The Lady Wildcats weren’t going to let its lead and the match slip out of its hands easily and tied the set back up three times before Hannibal-LaGrange could pull away for the win.  After an attacking error by the Lady Trojans, the set was tied at 23 before a kill by Davis and an attacking error by Culver-Stockton gave Hannibal-LaGrange the 25-23 set win and the 3-1 match victory.

The Lady Trojans will now travel to St. Louis, Mo. to face Harris-Stowe on November 1 and to Fulton, Mo. to battle William Woods on November 3 to close out the regular season.
