Over 1,400 colleges and universities nationwide were analyzed in consideration for these honors.

HLGU was named America’s Best Christian College on the basis of documented environment of Christian influence, grade point average of incoming freshmen as well as the ACT/SAT scores of incoming freshmen. This is the ninth consecutive year that Hannibal-LaGrange University has received this honor and scored well above the national average.

HLGU was named to America’s Best College Scholarships on the basis of offering scholarships that are available to incoming full-time freshmen, which are merit based only, not repayable in money or by performance.  Other criteria for this award include offering a merit scholarship that is equal to at least 50% of annual cost of attendance, not subject to residency requirement, offered indiscriminately to US citizens and administered through non-governmental monies.

Burt, HLGU President, was happy to hear about the inclusion of Hannibal-LaGrange in the 15th annual report of the national college survey.  "Once again we are honored to have been recognized as one of America's Best Christian Colleges and Best Christian Scholarships.
