Hannibal, MO-The Hannibal-LaGrange College cross-country and track and field programs recently signed Harold Schettler of Licking, MO, for the 2007-2008 season. Schettler graduated from Licking High School in Licking, MO, in May of 2006.

Schettler participated in both cross-country and track and field in high school, and saw much success. Among his many honors and achievements includes: cross-country all-conference in 2003 and 2005, conference champion in 2004, member of the 2002 class 2A state championship team, and he received the 2003 coaches award, just to name a few. His success rate in track and field is just as impressive. He was 2003-2005 conference champion and 2003 district champion in the 3200 meter relay, all-state in pole vault, and he received the most valuable runner and coaches awards.

Schettler plans on majoring in biology with an emphasis in pre-pharmacy at HLG.

Schettler is the son of Harold and Tammy Schettler.

HLG is a Division I NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) school and a member of the America Midwest Conference.
