HLGU ADVANCE Adult Degree Completion Program/SCC has announced there will be an informational meeting regarding Fall 2013 classes on Tuesday, April 30. The meeting will take place from 6 to 7 pm in room 408 of Emeritus Hall on the Southeastern Community College/Keokuk campus. Those interested in attending this informational meeting are asked to register by April 29.

Classes being offered for the Fall 2013 semester include: Criminal Justice and Organizational Management (Broad Business Degree). For a limited time, an application fee voucher can be downloaded.

HLGU's ADVANCE Program classes meet one night per week, one class at a time over a five week period. Students stay with the same group of adult learners (cohort) throughout the remainder of the degree program. "With an associate's degree (AS, AA, or AAS) or its equivalent, from an accredited institution, students may be able to complete a bachelor's degree in as little as 18 months," stated Marc Hurt, HLGU ADVANCE Program Director.

Hannibal-LaGrange University's ADVANCE Program has been viewed as an innovative and exceptionally effective approach to education by professional educators and employers. Tested principles of adult learning theory are incorporated to make all classes stimulating, relevant, challenging, and rewarding.
