HLG BASKETBALL SIGNS MARTIN

Hannibal, MO-The Hannibal-LaGrange College men's basketball team recently signed Jared Martin of Springfield, Illinois, as a guard for the 2007-2008 season. Martin graduated from the Calvary Academy in Springfield, IL, in May of 2007.

Martin played basketball in high school, and his team was awarded all-tournament team at the 2006 Williamsville Holiday Tournament. They also received special mention all-area team.

Martin plans on majoring in biology at HLG.

Martin is the son of Ed and Jeannie Martin.

HLG is a Division I NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) school and a member of the America Midwest Conference.
