Hannibal-LaGrange University is currently taking applications for its Master of Science in Education program. Summer classes include Differentiated Learning, Technology Applications, Vocabulary & Fluency Development, and Writing to Enhance Learning. Classes will begin in June.
"We are currently offering an application fee waiver, for a savings of $25, for anyone that registers between now and June 1st. In addition, all new students that register for Summer or Fall 2013 MSE classes will have the opportunity to win a gift basket valued at more than $900," stated Dr. Jane Schafer, Chair of the Division of Education. Items in the basket include: a voucher for one FREE HLGU Class ($885 value), HLGU items (t-shirt, mug, and thumb drive), and $25 Starbucks gift card. Drawing will be held on August 27, 2013.
The MSE program has two very useful tracks that benefit teachers at any grade level: Teaching & Learning, and Literacy. The program is blended, with both online and face-to-face courses, and can be completed in just 15 months.
Having been first offered in the fall of 2007, the MSE program has 68 graduates and an additional 26 currently enrolled.
"HLGU's Master of Science in Education degree has been well-received by practicing teachers," said Schafer. "The course work and research opportunities provide teachers with knowledge and strategies to more effectively work with students in their classrooms. In addition, the MSE program allows those enrolled to interact and network with other professionals."
The education department is now enrolling for summer and fall classes. To learn more about the program, contact Dr. Schafer at 573-629-3108 or via email at email@example.com, or visit the website at www.hlg.edu/mse.
