HLGU Announces New HLG Alert

Hannibal-LaGrange University is excited to put a new emergency notification system into place. HLG Alert is hosted through Rave Wireless Inc. and allows for much more versatility when alerting the campus on inclement weather and school emergencies.

In the past, campus alerts would be posted to the HLGU website and be sent out through text and email with all three notifications being sent through different systems. Now, with the new HLG Alert system, notifications can be sent from one program to cell phones, email accounts, the HLGU Website, Facebook, Twitter, and more. Furthermore, the program allows messages to be specific to different buildings or other groups on campus, allowing it to be used for more than just emergencies.

To sign up, visit www.getrave.com/login/hlg and use your school email address to go through the simple registration process. Once your account has been made, you can add multiple phone numbers and email addresses to ensure you receive alerts as quickly as pssible.
