Larson Receives Alumni Award

Hannibal-LaGrange University recognized the annual alumni award winners during the 2013 Homecoming Entertainment on Friday, October 4.The Outstanding Young Alumnus Award was presented to Jeremy Larson '09. This award is given to a Hannibal-LaGrange graduate who is age 35 or younger for outstanding accomplishments in their profession, business, community, state, or nation.

Born in Joliet, IL, Jeremy Larson received his Bachelor of Science degree in business education from HLGU in 2009. Jeremy has also gone on to receive his Master of Art in Education degree and Educational Law Certificate from the University of Illinois. Currently he is pursuing an Education Specialist degree.

Since his graduation from HLGU, Jeremy has worked as an adjunct professor at Lincoln Land Community College, a technology instructor in the Waverly School District, and a middle school principal at Mayo Middle School. He is also a chairperson of the Illinois Principal's Association and a winner of the Outstanding Thesis award from the University of Illinois.

Jeremy is married to his wife, Jaime, and they live in Paris, Illinois. He attends Maryland Community Church and his passions include serving Christ, his family, and his community.
