The Hannibal-LaGrange University Theatre Department will present the play "Steel Magnolias," by Robert Harling. Performances will be Thursday-Saturday, November 14-16 at 7:00 pm in the Parker Theatre of the Roland Fine Arts Center.

All the ladies who are "anybody" in Chinquapin, Louisiana go to Truvy's beauty salon. There, the vivacious Truvy, assisted by the slightly odd Annelle, dispenses wisdom and style to her unique clientele: the curmudgeonly Ouiser, Miss Clairee, the local social leader M'Lynn, and her spunky daughter Shelby. As these funny, frank companions share in the joys and changes of life, they form a bond; which becomes even deeper when the group must face an unexpected tragedy. This funny and heartwarming play of simple strength and friendship will remain with you long after the curtain has closed.

Cost for admission is $9 a ticket in advance and $10 per ticket at the door. Admission for seniors 60+ is $8 in advance and $9 at the door. For groups of 10 or more, admission is $8 per ticket.
