Hannibal-LaGrange College welcomed students and families to Fall Visit Day on Saturday, October 7. Prospective students were able to get information about financial aid and programs offered at HLG, as well as speak with faculty members one-on-one. There were also tours given, and performances by HLG's performing groups: Praise Song, Covenant, Vision, New Edition, and Jazz Band.
Many young law enforcement hopefuls were in attendance at the Law Enforcement Expo. There were several agencies available to give information and answer questions, as well as provide demonstrations. Hannibal Police Department's K-9 unit entertained visitors with a demonstration of the duties of a highly trained German Shepherd named Jury. An Air Evac Helicopter landed in the HLG practice soccer field to provide Landing Zone training for first responders. A rappelling demonstration was provided by the Moberly Police Response Team.
Several visitors also attended the soccer tailgate party where they received free cotton candy, drinks, and face painting. Both the men's and women's soccer teams were victorious over William Woods University, providing the perfect ending to a successful day.
