The Hannibal-LaGrange University Art Department will be holding an art exhibit featuring artist Brenda Beck Fisher, February 7-28.

An opening reception for Brenda's exhibit was held on Friday, February 7 from 6-7 pm in the lobby of the Roland Fine Arts Center on the HLGU campus.

A full time artist since 2001, Brenda Beck Fisher has lived in Missouri most of her life. The recipient of many local and national awards, she is a signature member of the Missouri Watercolor Society and a juried member of Best of Missouri Hands. She has participated in national shows such as the Watercolor Missouri International and the Biennial Chicago Exhibit.

Brenda's work has been featured in local and state magazine publications such as Missouri Life and Nashville Arts and was featured on Hannibal's 35th and 36th Annual Autumn Folklife Festival Posters.

Several of Brenda's watercolors are permanently displayed at Barnard's Mill Art Museum in Glen Rose, Texas, Western Illinois University in Macomb, Illinois, Quincy City Hall in Quincy, Illinois, and Hannibal Clinic and Hannibal National Bank in Hannibal, Missouri.

Brenda has illustrated the children's book, My Tractor and Me, by Mia Pennewell and had her work printed on Southgate brand chili cans.

It is Brenda's desire for her watercolors to bring joy to those that make her art a part of their lives.
