HLGU to Host 3rd Annual WorldView Conference

Hannibal-LaGrange University's campus has been chosen to be the site of the 2014 Worldview Conference that will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014. The conference will be held in the Parker Theatre of the Roland Fine Arts Center. Attendee check-in will be from 7:30 -8:00 am with the welcome starting at 8:00 am. Registration is now open and ends March 31. Cost to attend the event is $10 for individuals, $15 for couples and $5 for students (must show ID at check-in). Attendees that wish to remain on campus for lunch have the option to purchase a meal for an additional $8.95.

Sponsors of this conference include Missouri Baptist Convention, The Pathway, and Christian Life Commission. The theme of this year's conference is "Living a Christian Life in a Hostile World".

Speakers set to present at the conference include Dr. Anthony W. Allen, HLGU President; Bob McEwen, Senior Advisor with the law firm Greenebaum, Doll & McDonald; Dr. John Yeats, Executive Director of the Missouri Baptist Convention, Dr. Janice Crouse, Senior Fellow at the Beverly LaHaye Institute; Justin Mosher, Fifth Street Baptist Church pastor, Hannibal, MO; Rob Phillips, Director of Communications for the Missouri Baptist Convention; Joshua Hawley, professor at the School of Law, University of Missouri; Don Hinkle, ThM, founding editor of The Pathway.

Conference topics include "What Does a Biblical Worldview Look Like?," Dr. Allen; A Christian Worldview of Economics, Bob McEwen; "The Challenge Facing Traditional Marriage", Dr. Crouse; "Christian Worldview and Missouri Southern Baptist Churches", Dr. Yeats; "Religious Liberty and Hobby Lobby", Dr. Hawley, and "Christian Apologetics", Rob Phillips.

Conference begins at 8:00 am and will end with a panel discussion from 3:30-4:15 pm. Lunch break will be from noon-1:10 pm. Attendees have the option to purchase a meal with their registration or are welcome to enjoy their lunch meal at an area restaurant.
