Hannibal, MO - Over 700 area elementary students attended Hannibal-LaGrange College children's theatre production The Jungle Book. The interactive show had many of the students requesting an encore performance.

Student directors were HLG senior Shannon Richards, and junior Cindyann Miller. Kim Johnson was in charge of the costumes, which were all made in house. Susan Honse ran the lighting. Mowgli was played by Hannah Smith, The Great Wolf by Molly Grabinski, Baloo the Bear by Chris Shelden, Bagheera the Panther by Shiloh Guthrie, Kaa the Python by McKinzie Gray, and Shere Khan the Tiger by Clayton Hamburg.

I was totally pleased with everyone's efforts, said Jerry Thomason, professor of theatre at HLG. I thought they pulled the show off really well.

Picture foot note: HLG students Clayton Hamburg, Chris Shelden, Molly Grabinski, Hannah Smith, McKinzie Gray, Shiloh Guthrie, and a few lucky audience members.
