Hannibal, MO - The Hannibal-LaGrange Lady Trojans were defeated Tuesday by a score of 2-3.  Anne Schafer notched an early goal for the regionally ranked visiting Benedictine Raiders.  Hannibal answered back on a workman-like goal scored by Kelci Rushing.  Benedictine didn't wait long before untying the stalemate on a quick cross finished off by Sara Figoni.  Again a resilient HLG squad battled back with a goal assisted by a Megan DeHues' header which was cleaned-up and deposited in the back of the net by Alysa Askew.  In the end, Benedictine laughed last scoring with only seven minutes left and not looking back.  Brittany Johnston recorded eleven saves to lead a spirited defensive effort by the Trojans.

The Lady Trojans have little time to dwell on the tough loss as they are thrown back into the fray at home Thursday at 4:00 against Illinois College.
