Hannibal, MO- The Hannibal-LaGrange College Baseball program hosted one of the largest tryout events in the program's history on Saturday, September 22. Head Coach Clay Biggs was pleased with the turnout of 36 athletes, all hoping for the chance to don the Trojans uniform.

The hopefuls came from all over the state, including: Center, Troy, Lee's Summit, Bunceton, Monroe City, Green City, Charleston, Chillicothe, Silex, Higbee, Kansas City, Columbia, Gallatin, Knox County, New Haven, Louisiana, and Kirksville; as well as Palos Heights, IL.

“We really worked hard to put together a good tryout for interested high school juniors and seniors,” said Coach Biggs.  “Coach [Darren] Funk put in many hours contacting the individuals.”

The tryout consisted of timed running; infield, outfield, and hitting skills; pitchers threw approximately 20 pitches; and catchers made throws to bases to get pop times.
