HLG USHERS IN THE HOLIDAY SEASON WITH ANNUAL HANGING OF THE GREEN

Hannibal, MO-- Hannibal-LaGrange College is gearing up for the holidays, and December is filled with Christmas activities for the Hannibal community to enjoy. On Sunday, November 26, HLG will present their annual Hanging of the Green ceremony. This ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. at the Roland Fine Arts Center. Hannibal-LaGrange College student organizations along with HLG faculty and staff will present a special program in celebration of the upcoming Christmas season. The Hannibal Children's Choir, under the direction of Linda St. Julianna will perform some Christmas selections. There will be musical specials, responsive readings, and a special ceremony to decorate the college for the holiday season. The public is welcome to attend.
Immediately following the Hanging of the Green ceremony, guests will be invited to process to the Burt Administration Building and gather at the arch for the Lighting of the Star ceremony scheduled to begin at 7:30 p.m. The community is invited to join faculty, staff, and students at this meaningful campus Christmas tradition. The brass ensemble will provide music, carols will be sung, and Dr. and Mrs. Woodrow Burt, President and First Lady of HLG, will read the Christmas story while students perform a live nativity scene. A reception for all guests will be held in the lobby of the Burt Administration Building. The public is welcome to attend.
