SBU GRADUATE COURSE OFFERED AT HLG

Hannibal, MOŚHannibal-LaGrange College (HLG) and Southwest Baptist University (SBU) will offer the three-hour-graduate-level course Learners and the Learning Process. The class will be offered on Thursday night staring January 11 and ending March 1. The class meets in Room 229 in the HLG Administration Building from 5:00 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. Dr. Jill Janes will be the instructor. Registration for the course will take place during the first class session.
Students will study current theories of learning, the relationship between learning and development, the characteristics of learners, and effective methods for measuring learning. The overarching purpose of the course is to enhance endeavors of teachers to improve student learning.
This course is required for the Master of Science degree and will not be offered again in Hannibal until the spring 2009 semester.
The course will help teachers meet the degree requirements for a Master's in Education degree offered by SBU in Hannibal. The course is open to all qualified persons desiring to take the course whether or not they are seeking a degree.
