HANNIBAL-LAGRANGE COLLEGE HOSTS ARTIST MARK TAYLOR

Hannibal, MO—During the months of January and February, Hannibal-LaGrange College will be hosting a special art exhibit highlighting the work of guest artist Mark Taylor. The exhibit will be on display in the Hagerman Art Gallery in the Roland Fine Arts Center at HLG. An opening reception will be held Friday, January 19 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The reception and exhibit is open to the public at no charge.
Mark Taylor grew up in St. Louis, MO. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Painting from HLG and his Master of Arts degree in Art Education, K-12, from Lindenwood University in St. Charles, MO. Taylor has done graduate work in Mississippi as well as Georgia in sculpture, illustration, and painting. In October of 2004 he married Cora, which he claims is “probably the only smart thing I've ever done in my life!”
The Taylors make their home in St. Louis, MO where Mark teaches middle school art in inner city St. Louis, and Cora is a counselor and case worker for kids in the foster care system.
