Hannibal, MO --Hannibal-LaGrange College (HLG) and Southwest Baptist University (SBU) will offer the three-hour-graduate-level course Media and Technology in Education. The class will be offered on Tuesday nights staring March 6 and ending May 1. The class meets in Room 229 in the HLG Burt Administration Building from 5:00 p.m. to 9:45 p.m. Carla Helmke will be the instructor. Registration for the course will take place during the first class session.

This course focuses on knowledge and skills which: (1) make a person computer literate, (2) enable one to use computers in a variety of personal applications, (3) equip a person to use computers in teaching and learning, and (4) enable one to make effective use of a wide variety of media and technological systems in teaching.

The course will help teachers meet the degree requirements for a Master's in Education degree offered by SBU in Hannibal. The course is open to all qualified persons desiring to take them whether or not they are seeking a degree.
