HLG CONCERT CHOIR PERFORMS “WORLDLY” CONCERT

Hannibal, MOHannibal-LaGrange Concert Choir will be performing a program of "World Music" representing the countries of Ecuador, Nigeria, South Africa, Korea, Brazil, Ireland, Russia, and Norway.  The 40 voice choir will be performing at the First Baptist Church of Pleasant Hill, IL, on April 11 at 7:00 p.m.; the First Baptist Church of Ewing, MO, at 6:30 p.m. on April 18; and Calvary Baptist Church, located on West Ely Road, Hannibal, MO, at 6:30 p.m. on April 25.

Along with the songs, a presentation will be made regarding current events in missions of each country.

Some of the songs that will be performed are "E Oru O", "Arirang", "Per Spelmann", "Gabi, Gabi", "Il Lluvia", "My Maker's World", "Riversong", and "Salmo 150".  Many of the songs are a cappella, and many will be accompanied by authentic instrumental accompaniments.

The HLG Jazz Choir will also make an appearance, singing selections of Vocal Jazz, which represent the United States.

Concerts are free and open to the public.
