Hannibal, MO— Hannibal-LaGrange College will hold its fourth consecutive Iron Chef competition on Thursday, February 4. Modeled after the Food Network’s Iron Chef America television show, HLG’s Iron Chef features a maximum of five teams comprised of HLG students, administration, faculty, and staff, competing for the coveted HLG Iron Chef award.
HLG Iron Chef is sponsored by Pioneer College Caterers, Refreshment Service Pepsi, Kohl's Wholesale, and County Market. Judges include Glenn Stahlman from Pioneer College Caterers, Rich Cain from WGEM, and Liesl Nauck, reigning HLG Homecoming Queen.
The contest begins at 4:00 p.m. and ends at 5:30 p.m. Judging takes place immediately and then guests are allowed to sample the contestants’ dishes.
The public is invited to attend. There is a $1 admission charge which includes sampling of the Iron Chef's creations.
HLG Iron Chef will be held in the Partee Center on the campus of Hannibal-LaGrange College.
