HLG ART STUDENTS TO COMPETE

Hannibal, MOŚThe Hannibal-LaGrange College art department will host the annual HLG Student Art Competition and Exhibition. The exhibit will open on April 16 and be on display in the Hagerman Art Gallery located in the Roland Fine Arts Center until April 27. A reception will be held on Wednesday, April 17 at 3:00 p.m.
The public is welcome to attend and view the works on display to vote for the People's Choice Award. The President's Award will be chosen by HLG President Dr. Woodrow Burt. The People's Choice Award, the Best in Show, and the Best in categories will receive art materials, and the winner of the President's Award will be given a cash prize and their artwork will be added to the art department's permanent collection.
The works for display will first be juried by the art faculty before submission into the competition, where they will then be judged by an outside judge. Selections will be chosen from all studio classes from the 2006-2007 school year.
