Hannibal, MO--The Hannibal Children's Choir, sponsored by Hannibal-LaGrange College, will hold the “HLG Children's Choir Spring Concert” on Tuesday, April 17. It will begin at 6:30 p.m. in Parker Theatre of the Roland Fine Art Center on HLG campus. 53 students from across the district will perform a variety of music from folk songs to the classics. Included will be several Orff instrumentations. The concert is free and open to the public.
The program will last between 20 and 25 minutes and will be directed by this year's maestro, Linda St. Juliana.

On the following Tuesday, April 24, the Children's Choir will perform for Beth Haven, a retirement community, at 4:00 p.m. On Friday, April 27 the choir will go on tour, performing at five local elementary schools:

8:45 AM- Mark Twain
9:40 AM- Eugene Field
10:30 AM- Stowell
12:40 PM- Veterans
1:40 PM- Oakwood

The Choir is in their twentieth year as an educational outreach to enhance children's musical experience, supplementing school and church choral training by focusing on the preparation and performance of age-appropriate music literature while having fun through games, exercises, and performances.

This year children's choir is led by Linda St. Juliana who has taught all grade levels in the Hannibal Public Schools for many years.  She is presently the vocal music teacher at Veterans Elementary School and Coordinator of Elementary Fine Arts in Education for the Hannibal Public School District.
