HANDBELL CHOIR TO PERFORM AT FIRST BAPTIST CHURCH IN CENTRALIA, MO AND IMMANUEL BAPTIST CHURCH IN HANNIBAL, MO

Hannibal, MO.— On Sunday, April 22, Hannibal-LaGrange College's
Advanced Handbell Choir will perform a variety of music from classical to praise and worship.
Their first performance will be at First Baptist Church in Centralia, MO, beginning at 10:45 a.m. during the morning worship service. The Handbell Choir will play hymns with Centralia's Handbell Choir and provide other musical portions of the service. Former HLG students Pam (Willier) Walton and Angela Willier, Cole and Jeana (Brown) Callaway, and Mary McKenzie are active members at FBC Centralia.
At 6:00 p.m. Immanuel Baptist Church will host the HLG Handbell Choir. The entire evening service will be hymns, testimonies, and handbells. Minister of Music and HLG alumnus Daron Caswell will be featured on two vocal pieces with the handbells.
Classical tunes such as “Easter Exaltation” and “Classical Easter” will be performed, as well as more traditional hymns “When I Survey the Wondrous Cross” and “Immortal, Invisible” among many others.
Members of the Advanced Handbell Choir are Patrick Argent, Garrett Castor, Matt Futhey, Tyler Lehman, Katy Lockett, Chuck Nardi, Tannan Otte, Andy Rhea, Katy Schaefer, Krista Sellers, Aubrey Tucker, and Crystal Wagner. The choir is directed by Dr. John Booth who is in his 18th year as a member of the HLG music department faculty.
Both of these performances are a part of HLG's annual Handbell Sunday.
