Hannibal, MO- Hannibal-LaGrange College recently commissioned more than 80 faculty, staff, and students for summer missions all over the world.  During the annual commissioning service on Wednesday, April 18, students, faculty, and staff prayed with those preparing to serve this summer.  

Volunteers from HLG will be traveling to a variety of countries, including Switzerland, Brazil, Africa, Ireland, Australia, Hong Kong, Ukraine, Canada, London, and Venezuela.  Others will be working in the United States, with students serving in Missouri, Ohio, Mississippi, Texas, Illinois, Alabama, North Dakota, South Dakota, Wyoming, North Carolina, Indiana, and Tennessee.

HLG seeks partnerships with missions organizations around the globe in order to utilize all of the resources possible.  This summer, HLG students will be partnering with such organizations as the International Mission Board, the North American Mission Board, and the Missouri Baptist Convention, as well as local churches, as they endeavor to spread the love of God.

The guest speaker at the commissioning service was Dr. Rose Sims, Ed.D., former HLG faculty and author of “New Life Dying Churches” which won the worldwide award as best non-fiction by Christian Writers Fellowship International. Dr. Sims has been invited to speak and conduct a variety of seminars worldwide in many denominations.
