Fifth Annual Iron Chef Competition

Hannibal, MO— Hannibal-LaGrange University will hold our fifth consecutive Iron Chef competition on Thursday, January 27. Modeled after the Food Network’s Iron Chef America television show, HLGU’s Iron Chef features a maximum of five teams comprised of students, administration, faculty, and staff, competing for the coveted HLGU Iron Chef award.
HLGU Iron Chef is sponsored by Pioneer College Caterers, Refreshment Service Pepsi, Kohl's Wholesale, and County Market. Judges include Katie Quigg, current HLGU Homecoming Queen, Rich Cain, WGEM Chief Meteorologist, and Glenn Stalhman, District Supervisor for Pioneer Foods.
The contest begins at 4:00 p.m. and ends at 5:30 p.m. Judging takes place immediately and then guests are allowed to sample the contestants’ dishes.
The public is invited to attend. There is a $1 admission charge which includes sampling of the Iron Chef's creations. The competition will be held in the Partee Center.
