Hannibal, MO - The Hannibal-LaGrange University Women’s Soccer team has recently announced the signings of defender/midfielder Taryn Dungan and midfielder Sarah Hammock. Both Dungan and Hammock will graduate from Hannibal High School in May.
As a multi-sport athlete at Hannibal High, Dungan not only received all-conference honors in soccer, but in cross country and track as well. Her excellent play and hard work also rewarded her with all-district honors for soccer and cross country.
Hammock has also been a multi-sport athlete while at Hannibal High, participating in both tennis and soccer. Hammock has been named to the all-tournament team and honored as an all-district player as well as the team MVP while playing soccer at Hannibal High. She has also received all-conference, all-district team, all-district individual, and has been honored as an outstanding singles player while participating in tennis in high school.
"I'm excited to have Taryn and Sarah join the HLGU women's soccer program,” said Coach Jason Nichols. “They are hard working players who will be assets to the team and I look for them to help raise our level of play and also represent what we stand for at HLGU."
Dungan plans to major in nursing while Hammock plans to major in business while attending HLGU.
