Lebanon, IL - Hannibal-LaGrange University has swept its way to American Midwest Conference baseball weekly honors for May 2.

The Trojans' Marc Luttrell was selected as the AMC Baseball Player of the Week, while Jacob Genz nabbed the AMC Baseball Pitcher of the Week honor. Both players were picked for their performances in games from April 25-May 1.

Luttrell, a senior first baseman from Chapin, IL, batted .533 with eight hits in 15 at-bats during three games at the AMC Tournament in St. Louis. Luttrell had two doubles and three RBI in helping the Trojans to a 2-1 week, which included a 2-1 upset victory over the tournament's top seed and host, Missouri Baptist University. Luttrell was 3-for-4 with an RBI in that contest.

Genz, a senior right-hander from Stevens Point, WI, tossed a complete-game two-hitter in the Trojans' 2-1 triumph over Missouri Baptist. Genz walked two batters and struck out 10 in the victory.

HLGU is a Division I NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) school and a member of the American Midwest Conference.
