Hudson, Ogden Named to All-Conference Team

Lebanon, IL – Lady Trojan pitcher Kachina Hudson and center fielder Jennifer Ogden have both been named to the American Midwest All-Conference Softball Team. Hudson has been named to the first-team while Ogden has been included as an honorable mention.
Hudson earned the first-team all-conference honor as a pitcher after finishing the 2011 season with a 12-17 record. She also accumulated 114 strikeouts, a 2.67 earned run average, four shutouts, and 24 complete games in 27 starts.
Ogden was named as an honorable mention all-conference member for the 2011 season. She finished the year with a .282 batting average, six doubles, six triples, two homeruns, 18 stolen bases, and 28 runs scored in 43 games played. Ogden also boasted a .935 fielding percentage while playing centerfield.
The Lady Trojans also had 14 athletes named to the all-conference academic team. Justine Bane, Kelli Black, Dolores Bloomfield, Hannah Crain, Marissa Foreman, Jordan Hawker, Hudson, Rachel Hughes, Erin Jeffries, Sarah Nardi, Jessica Nutt, Ogden, Megan Skinner, and Kayla Wray all received academic honors for the Trojans.
HLGU is a Division I NAIA (National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics) school and a member of the American Midwest Conference.
