ADVANCE Program Open House

Hannibal-LaGrange University”s ADVANCE Program has announced August open house and cohort orientation dates for the Hannibal and TRC locations. Additionally, the application fee has been waived for the month of August.

In Hannibal, an open house is scheduled for Tuesday, August 2, from 3 to 7 pm in room 215 of the Burt Administration Building.

For the TRC locations, an open house is scheduled for Friday, August 5, from 11 am to 4 pm. On the Poplar Bluff TRC campus, the open house will be located in room B104 of the Plaster Building. On the Dexter TRC campus, the open house will be in room 109, and on the Sikeston campus, the open house will also be in room 109.

Those interested in the ADVANCE Program are welcome to stop by any time. Prospective applicants will have the opportunity to meet with an HLGU representative and receive a free, written degree completion plan if they bring a copy of their college transcript.

In Hannibal, ADVANCE Program orientations will be held at 6 pm in room 202 of the Burt Administration Building at Hannibal-LaGrange University. Social work orientation will be on Thursday, August 25, with classes beginning on September 29. Criminal justice and business management orientations will be on Monday, August 29, with classes starting September 26.

In Poplar Bluff, orientations will be held at 6 pm on Tuesday, August 30, on the TRC Poplar Bluff campus. Criminal justice and business management orientations will be in room B104. Classes start September 26. Orientation for social work will be in room B102. Classes start on September 27.

Sikeston orientations will be held at 6 pm in the TRC Center in Sikeston. Business management and criminal justice orientations will be Thursday, August 25 in room 108. Criminal justice classes start September 27, and business management classes start on September 29. Orientation for social work will be Monday, August 29, in room 201. Social work classes start September 26.

The HLGU ADVANCE Program allows working adults to attend class one night a week and one subject at a time over a five-week period. With an associate’s degree or its equivalent, applicants have the opportunity to complete their degree in as little as 18 months. Students stay with the same group of adult learners, their cohort, throughout their degree program.
