HLGU’s $10,000 regional scholarship for incoming residential freshmen and $6,500 scholarship for incoming commuter freshmen has been very popular since being created in 2012. To qualify, students must have a 3.0 CGPA, a minimum ACT score of 21, and attend one of the following high schools in the area: Bowling Green, Canton, Hannibal, Highland, Marion County, Mark Twain, Monroe City, Palmyra, Payson, Quincy, Quincy Notre Dame, Quincy Christian, or Western.
Hannibal-LaGrange offers more than 34 majors on the baccalaureate level, and several pre-professional programs are offered on the associate level. Additional programs include an honors program for gifted and highly motivated students, Master of Science in Education and Master of Arts in Leadership degrees, and online classes and programs. This historic institution is a four-year, Southern Baptist-based University, fully accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.
With about 1,150 students, HLGU is committed to its students and sized right for personal attention from faculty and staff. The student/faculty ratio is 14:1, and most of our classes have fewer than twenty students, providing for excellent interaction.
