Kathryn Martin, MA
Director of Academic and Career Services and Instructor of Psychology
For more than 15 years, Kathryn Martin has worked in higher education helping students figure out what they want, where they’re headed, and how to get there. In her work in student success and career services, she takes a personal, strengths-based approach—supporting students with empathy, structure, and accountability. Kathryn loves helping students move from feeling unsure to having a plan, and from having a plan to actually achieving their goals. She is excited to join the Psychology department after graduating with her MA in Positive Psychology and Life Coaching in 2025 from Indiana Wesleyan University.
On a more personal note, Kathryn has been married to her HLGU college sweetheart, Justin, since 2008. With their two children, they enjoy reading, baking, and Friday night movies. Since college they have been active members at Calvary Baptist Church and greatly enjoy teaching the two- and three-year-old Sunday school class.
