Calling will take place between 5:30 and 7:30 pm on April 11-14 and 18-21. Callers will be reaching out to both HLGU alumni and previous donors to the institution.\n \nThis year’s Phonathon needs volunteers who love HLGU and would like to help make a difference in the lives of HLGU students. All volunteers will be provided with a script and phones for the event\, as well as some snacks. SUMMARY:HLGU Disc Golf Glow Tournament
DESCRIPTION:Hannibal-LaGrange University will host a two-round disc golf tournament in conjunction with its 2022 HLGU Day of Giving initiative. \nThe event will be held on April 21\, 2022 on HLGU’s new disc golf course on campus behind the Roland Library. The first round of the event will start at 5 pm\, followed by a glow round with lighted discs and baskets at 8 pm. \nTwo-person teams can sign up for $50\, while HLGU student teams can sign up for $30. LED lights for the glow round are available for an additional $1 per light\, or participants may supply their own lights or glow tape. \nBetween rounds\, pizza by the slice will be for sale. \nRegister for the event by clicking here. \nInformation about HLGU’s disc golf course can be found by going to UDisc.com and searching Hannibal-LaGrange University. \nAll proceeds from this event will go toward HLGU’s annual Day of Giving. The day runs from noon on April 21 until noon on April 22. Friends\, alumni\, students\, faculty\, and staff are all encouraged to give back to HLGU. The University has set a goal of 250 new gifts in this 24-hour timeframe. \nThe new HLGU disc golf course was a direct result of last year’s Day of Giving. DESCRIPTION:Hannibal-LaGrange University will hold the Scarlet and Blue Auction on Friday\, May 20\, in the Roland Fine Arts Center. \nDoors for the event will open at 5:30 pm when a silent auction will begin. At 7 pm\, the silent auction will end and the live auction will begin. Heavy appetizers will be served. \nAdmission for the event is $10 per person. Tickets can be purchased in advance at hlguscarletandblueauction.eventbrite.com. Tickets are also available for purchase in the HLGU Institutional Advancement office in the Burt Administration. DESCRIPTION:Hannibal-LaGrange University announced its third annual HLGU Day of Giving will happen in April 2023. \nThe Day of Giving will run for the 24-hour period between noon on April 20 and noon on April 21\, 2023. HLGU has set a goal of 250 new gifts to the University in this 24-hour timeframe. \n“Your gift\, combined with those of hundreds of other HLGU Day of Giving donors\, will not only help to make scholarships or projects become realities but also have a direct impact on the lives of current and future students\,” said Director of Development and Alumni Services Lauren Youse. “By joining together with the greater HLGU family during this special event\, you’re demonstrating your commitment to the University and the Christian community that sets us apart.” \nMore information will be released via HLGU’s social media pages on Facebook\, Twitter\, and Instagram in the coming months. Those who want to spread the word about HLGU’s Day of Giving can do so by using #HLGUDayOfGiving in their social media posts. \nGifts received as a part of the Day of Giving may be designated toward HLGU student scholarships\, Friends of the Arts\, HLGU’s fine arts giving club\, or any other HLGU department or program. \nDuring last year’s Day of Giving\, 345 gifts were given raising $227\,815. \n“I am thankful for the way that God worked in people’s lives in supporting our Day of Giving\,” said Vice President for Institutional Advancement Dr. Ray Carty. “The number of individual donors significantly surpassed our goal. The amount of financial support that was expressed was amazing and encouraging. SUMMARY:Disc Golf Tournament Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Hannibal-LaGrange University will host a 2-round doubles disc golf tournament in conjunction with its Day of Giving this spring. \nThe event will be held on Saturday\, April 22 at HLGU’s newest disc golf course on campus\, The Colosseum. The course is laid out back in the woods around the walking trails behind the Administration Building. The 27-hole course is currently being built and will feature 18 holes for the tournament. \nA player’s meeting will be held the morning of the tournament at 8 a.m. in the The Loft\, on the second floor of the Student Center. The first round of the event will begin at 9 a.m. with the second round starting around 1 p.m. Two-person teams can sign up together for $50 while HLGU student and/or alumni teams can sign up for $40. \nRegister for the event by clicking this link. You can also find out more about the HLGU disc golf course by going to the UDisc app and searching The Colosseum. \nAll proceeds from this event will go towards the construction of the new course.
