DESCRIPTION:Hannibal-LaGrange University announced its third annual HLGU Day of Giving will happen in April 2023. \nThe Day of Giving will run for the 24-hour period between noon on April 20 and noon on April 21\, 2023. HLGU has set a goal of 250 new gifts to the University in this 24-hour timeframe. \n“Your gift\, combined with those of hundreds of other HLGU Day of Giving donors\, will not only help to make scholarships or projects become realities but also have a direct impact on the lives of current and future students\,” said Director of Development and Alumni Services Lauren Youse. “By joining together with the greater HLGU family during this special event\, you’re demonstrating your commitment to the University and the Christian community that sets us apart.” \nMore information will be released via HLGU’s social media pages on Facebook\, Twitter\, and Instagram in the coming months. Those who want to spread the word about HLGU’s Day of Giving can do so by using #HLGUDayOfGiving in their social media posts. \nGifts received as a part of the Day of Giving may be designated toward HLGU student scholarships\, Friends of the Arts\, HLGU’s fine arts giving club\, or any other HLGU department or program. \nDuring last year’s Day of Giving\, 345 gifts were given raising $227\,815. \n“I am thankful for the way that God worked in people’s lives in supporting our Day of Giving\,” said Vice President for Institutional Advancement Dr. Ray Carty. “The number of individual donors significantly surpassed our goal. The amount of financial support that was expressed was amazing and encouraging. SUMMARY:Disc Golf Tournament Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:Hannibal-LaGrange University will host a 2-round doubles disc golf tournament in conjunction with its Day of Giving this spring. \nThe event will be held on Saturday\, April 22 at HLGU’s newest disc golf course on campus\, The Colosseum. The course is laid out back in the woods around the walking trails behind the Administration Building. The 27-hole course is currently being built and will feature 18 holes for the tournament. \nA player’s meeting will be held the morning of the tournament at 8 a.m. in the The Loft\, on the second floor of the Student Center. The first round of the event will begin at 9 a.m. with the second round starting around 1 p.m. Two-person teams can sign up together for $50 while HLGU student and/or alumni teams can sign up for $40. \nRegister for the event by clicking this link. You can also find out more about the HLGU disc golf course by going to the UDisc app and searching The Colosseum. \nAll proceeds from this event will go towards the construction of the new course. DESCRIPTION:Hannibal-LaGrange University will hold the 2nd Annual Scarlet and Blue Auction on Friday\, May 19\, in the Roland Fine Arts Center. \nDoors for the event will open at 5:30 p.m. at which time the silent auction will begin. At 7 p.m.\, the silent auction will end and the live auction will begin. Heavy appetizers will be served. \nAll proceeds from the Scarlet and Blue Auction will go toward HLGU’s annual fund. \nThe institutional advancement office is looking for additional auction items. If you would like to donate an item for the auction fundraiser\, please contact Alumni Director Lauren Youse at lauren.youse@hlg.edu\, or 573-629-3126. Anyone who donates an item will receive two free auction tickets (a $20 value). \nAdmission for the event is $10 per person. Tickets can be purchased on April 3 at www.hlg.edu. Contact Sue Booth) \nWe’ll meet on Broadway (usually close to Holy Family Catholic Church) at 9:30 a.m. and walk the route down Broadway. (so come prepared to take your ID picture)\nTalk with a financial aid counselor or student accounts to finalize your aid and bill\nGo by the Campus Store to purchase some HLGU gear\n\nEnroll in Person:\nCome to one of our Enrollment Days in May\, June\, or July.  IF you live within 250 miles of HLGU and are unable to attend one of the Enrollment Days\, please choose the virtual visit option. \nEnroll by Email or Virtual Appointment:\nThe option to enroll by electronic means is available only for students living more than 250 miles from HLGU.  If you choose this enrollment option\, you will be contacted by your admissions counselor to complete the enrollment process. \nBefore Enrolling:\nBefore you are able to enroll\, all new students must: \n\nBe admitted to the university\nPay a $100 tuition deposit\, which will be applied to your account\nIf you are living on campus\, pay a $100 dorm deposit and complete a housing application\n\nEnrollment Day Schedule:\nThe afternoon session will follow the same schedule as the morning. Afternoon session will begin at 1:00 p.m. \n8:00-8:30 – Registration – RFAC Lobby \n8:30-9:00 – Welcome Session – Theatre \n\nWorship\nWelcome by the President\nOverview of the Day – Forms\n\n9:00-9:45 – Orientation Session \n\nParents stay in Theatre for orientation program\nStudents go to The Loft for orientation program with Student Life–\n\n10:00-12:30 – Advisement in the Library \n11:00-1:30 – Lunch \n  \nRegister for Enrollment Day here.

DESCRIPTION:Hannibal-LaGrange University needs volunteers to help prepare the campus for the new school year. The annual Alumni and Friends Work Day will be held on Saturday\, August 12\, 2023 from 7:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. No advanced skills are necessary. \nThe morning will include hard work\, great fellowship\, and service to HLGU. Work will begin in the lobby of the first floor (lowest level) of the Burt Administration Building at 7:30 a.m. Jobs include raking/cleaning flower beds\, painting\, minor campus fix-ups\, and more. \nHannibal-LaGrange University will provide a list of projects to prepare campus for the fall semester and a “thank you” lunch will be held at 11 a.m. in the Burt Administration Building. \nFor more information or to enlist as a volunteer\, please contact Alumni Director Lauren Youse ’05 M ’16 at lauren.youse@hlg.edu or (573) 629-3126 by Wednesday\, August 9. If volunteers cannot commit to working all morning\, HLGU will gladly work with schedules. Volunteers should be age 12 or older.
