Hannibal-LaGrange University to Honor Class of 1976 and Welcome 50-Year Club Alumni During Family Weekend

Hannibal-LaGrange University will welcome members of the Class of 1976 back to campus this September as they celebrate their 50th class reunion and are inducted into the University’s 50-Year Club. Alumni from the Classes of 1975 and earlier are also invited to attend the annual gathering of the 50-Year Club during HLGU’s Family Weekend celebration.

The 50-Year Club Luncheon will take place on Friday, September 18, at 11:30 a.m. in the Page Dining Room inside the Partee Center.

The event provides alumni with an opportunity to reconnect with classmates and fellow graduates, celebrate shared memories, and recognize the lasting impact of Hannibal-LaGrange University. Guests will enjoy lunch, a performance by the HLGU Concert Choir, hear what’s been happening at the university from President Dr. Robert Matz, take a commemorative class photo with the Class of 1976, and participate in a guided campus bus tour following the luncheon.

“We’re excited to welcome the Class of 1976 into the 50-Year Club while also celebrating with alumni who have been members of the club for many years,” said Lauren Youse, Director of Alumni Relations. “This luncheon is a wonderful opportunity to reconnect with friends, celebrate God’s faithfulness through the years, and see firsthand how Hannibal-LaGrange continues to prepare students for lives of purpose and service.”

The luncheon is open to members of the Class of 1976, alumni from the Classes of 1975 and earlier, and their guests. The cost is $30 per person, and reservations are requested by Friday, September 11.

Family Weekend offers alumni, students, families, and friends a variety of activities throughout the weekend, including a Block Party, Disc Golf Tournament, Campus Visit Day, and more. The celebration also includes a special Free Society Constitution Day event featuring Nick Freitas on Thursday, September 17. Alumni interested in attending the Constitution Day event may contact the Alumni Office for ticket information.
