Hannibal-LaGrange University is inviting golfers, alumni, businesses, and friends of the university to enjoy a day of fellowship, friendly competition, and philanthropy at the Annual Alumni & Friends Golf Classic on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Norwoods Golf Club in Hannibal.
Proudly presented by Janes Surveying, Inc., the annual tournament raises vital support for Hannibal-LaGrange University’s mission of transforming lives through Christ-centered higher education. Proceeds from the event help provide educational opportunities and strengthen programs that prepare students to lead and serve with a biblical worldview.
“The Golf Classic is one of our favorite traditions because it brings together so many people who care about HLGU,” said Lauren Youse, Director of Alumni Services and Development. “Whether you’re an alumnus, a local business leader, or simply someone who believes in the mission of Christian higher education, this event is a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a great day on the course while investing in the next generation of students.”
The tournament begins with registration and a complimentary BBQ lunch at 11:00 a.m., followed by a 12:00 p.m. shotgun start. Teams will compete in a four-person scramble, making the event enjoyable for golfers of every skill level. Special contests, including Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin, and Longest Putt, will add to the excitement, with prizes awarded throughout the day.
Team registration is $340 and includes green fees, cart rental, and lunch.
In addition to fielding a team, businesses and organizations are encouraged to become hole sponsors. Sponsorship opportunities provide valuable community visibility while directly supporting Hannibal-LaGrange University’s students and mission.
