Ben Kendall

Instructor of Music

Ben Kendall joined the HLGU faculty in 2017. Mr. Kendall has teaching experience at Huntington University and Baptist Bible College.  Previously, he served as minister of worship at Calvary Baptist Church in Republic, MO.  He holds a master’s degree in church music from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, earned 18 graduate hours in counseling, and speaks Spanish. Mr. Kendall is an accomplished director, conductor and accompanist.  He plays piano, all manner of woodwinds, possesses a superb tenor voice, and is thrilled to be working with college students again.

He says, “I came to HLGU because I believe in giving away what God has given me. I believe in paying it forward. I believe in doing all I can to impact people around me.”

When not teaching or leading worship, Mr. Kendall enjoys attending musicals, movies, symphonies, ballets, plays, and more, as well as a good sporting event. He also loves trivia games, museums, and spending time with his wife and two sons.
