John Ferguson

Adjunct Instructor of Strings

John Ferguson was born in Crane, Missouri. When he was four years old, his family moved to Cabool, Missouri where he graduated high school. He earned his Bachelor of Science. in Education from Missouri State University. He has done further studies at University of Missouri at Kansas City, Central Missouri State University, and Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. John is an adjunct instructor at Hannibal-LaGrange University where he teaches stringed instruments. He is a retired minister of music and education, serving last at First Baptist Church, New London, Missouri. Mr. Ferguson is currently serving there as a deacon, outreach director, bus ministry captain, praise band member, and choir member. Currently, John is a member of the Quincy Symphony Orchestra, the Missouri Music Men, and the Mark Twain Chorale.

Mr. Ferguson and his wife Janet live in Hannibal, Missouri and are the proud parents of two adult children and three grandchildren.
