"I like chapel because it's a chance for me to take a break in the middle of the week and focus solely on God. I love being able to be surrounded by fellow believers and worship God while I'm at school. Chapel also opens up faith conversations that may not normally be had."
- Katie DeWitt
Chapel Attendance
We believe that chapel is a vital component to spiritual growth and the HLGU experience. Its purpose is to develop the whole person by providing a shared sense of community through worship, spiritual encouragement, and educational enrichment. Chapel consists of student-led worship and features distinguished speakers and guests who will offer challenging and engaging messages, designed to foster a positive atmosphere of spiritual life on campus. Chapel begins at 11 a.m. every Monday and Wednesday in the Parker theater, located in the Roland Fine Arts Center.
For more information on chapel or attendance requirements, please see the HLGU Student Handbook. Students seeking exemption from chapel may fill out a Chapel Exemption Form.
