HLGU’s Roland Library uses a proxy server that gives students, faculty, and staff the ability to access the library’s databases (online journals, eBooks and other services) from off campus or from the HLGU main campus wi-fi. Below is a set of instructions for accessing the remote server.
Between March 7 and April 30, 2022, Roland Library will be changing its remote access to library resources. Some items have already been converted. Others have not yet.
If you are searching in the library catalog, and click on a link that has already been converted, you simply need to enter your name, student or employee ID number with HLG on the end, and your library PIN number.
Use the forget password link or call the library at 573-629-3132 to reset your library PIN.
If you get an EZproxy message, this is a old link and you will need to follow the old method.
If you hit a link that has not yet been converted, you will need to log into https://my.hlg.edu using your campus network login and password
Go to the support card (Academic support for students. Employee support for employees)
Click on the library remote access link
It will take you to our databases page. Scroll down and choose the database you want.
Once inside the database, re-run your search
Contact the library at email@example.com or 573.629.3132 regarding any questions or problems with accessing library databases from off campus.
NOTE: The library staff cannot reset campus network passwords. Use the forgot password link on the login screen to reset your password.
- If there is a problem resetting your campus network password, contact the IThelpdesk at 573-629-3032 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
