SUMMARY:Adventure University
DESCRIPTION:Hannibal-LaGrange University (HLGU) is excited to announce the return of Adventure University for the seventh consecutive year. This engaging program for area youth will take place on Monday\, November 3\, 2025\, from 8:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m. on the HLGU campus. \nAdventure University is designed for students in 2nd through 6th grade\, offering them a unique opportunity to experience hands-on learning in a university setting. Participants will select one session in the morning and another in the afternoon\, with interactive options designed to spark curiosity\, creativity\, and teamwork. Sessions include the Lego Olympiad: Building the Games\, where students design Olympic-inspired creations using Legos; Courtside Fun\, which lets participants try their hand at popular lifetime sports like pickleball\, disc golf\, and basketball; and the Zap Lab\, where they’ll experiment with electricity and magnets through hands-on science challenges. Other offerings include The Motion Commotion\, a force-and-motion adventure filled with ramps\, rollers\, and rockets; the Inventors’ Workshop\, which introduces engineering and design thinking through real-world challenges; and Creative Creations\, an indoor/outdoor art adventure where students will craft\, create\, and explore their artistic talents. \nParents may drop off participants as early as 7:45 a.m. Lunch will be provided\, and as the event date approaches\, the HLGU Education Department will send a follow-up email with details about session assignments and designated drop-off and pick-up locations. \nRegistration opens October 1\, 2025\, and spaces are limited. DESCRIPTION:Hannibal-LaGrange University invites families from the Hannibal community to its annual Trunk or Treat on Thursday\, October 30\, 2025\, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. \nThe event is hosted by HLGU’s Office of Residential Life and will be held in the closed parking lot across from the Roland Library to provide a safe and family-friendly environment. Guests are asked to park in the Roland Fine Arts Center parking lot (the first lot at the Palmyra Road campus entrance) and walk to the event area. \nChildren are encouraged to come in costume and enjoy a fun-filled evening of safe trick-or-treating. Families will find decorated trunks staffed by HLGU students\, faculty\, and staff\, offering candy and treats in a welcoming environment. \nHLGU’s Trunk or Treat is designed to provide a lighthearted alternative to Halloween activities—no scary trunks will be included. DESCRIPTION:REGISTER \nHannibal-LaGrange University is hosting a Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) camp for 2nd-5th grade students on Monday\, September 28 and Monday\, October 26 when the Hannibal Public Schools are not in session. Students may participate one or both days. \nThe STEM camp will be held from 8:00 am to 3:15 pm and will include lunch\, but transportation is not provided. \nChildren may be dropped off as early as 7:40 am and picked up at 3:30 pm.  Registration is limited. DESCRIPTION:REGISTER \nHannibal-LaGrange University is hosting a Science Technology Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) camp for 2nd-5th grade students on Monday\, September 28 and Monday\, October 26 when the Hannibal Public Schools are not in session. Students may participate one or both days. \nThe STEM camp will be held from 8:00 am to 3:15 pm and will include lunch\, but transportation is not provided. \nChildren may be dropped off as early as 7:40 am and picked up at 3:30 pm.  Registration is limited. Be sure to click REGISTER and sign your child up today.  Courses will be assigned on a first-come-first serve basis.  Location for drop off and pick up will be emailed once course placements are finalized.  You may access the HLGU Campus Map here. ​ \nFor more information\, please contact the Division of Teacher Education at 573-629-3110.

DESCRIPTION:New students who will be attending a summer enrollment day on campus will have the opportunity to meet their adviser\, register for their first semester of classes\, finalize financial aid\, take care of unfinished business with student accounts\, receive important information on housing and new student orientation\, and get their photo ID and parking permit from public safety. The Campus Store will also be open for the purchase of HLGU gear. \nStudents who live more than 250 miles from Hannibal and are not able to attend a scheduled enrollment day\, are asked to contact their admissions representative to discuss another option that is available to them. \nFor more information\, contact the office of admissions at 573-629-3265 or via email at admissions@hlg.edu.
