The
library is the heart of the academic life on the Hannibal-LaGrange
College campus. It provides materials to support the students’
program of instruction and to encourage the habit of reading
and the use of libraries. The library staff is available
to help you in your search of these materials.
Completed
in 1966, this two-story structure was named in honor of
Dr. L. A. Foster, who served as president of Hannibal-LaGrange
College for 20 years. The first floor includes the public
access catalogs, the circulation station, the reference
room, the computer lab, the photocopiers, the listening
area, the closed stacks, and the periodicals room. The study
area, the education curriculum lab, and the open-access
book stacks are located on the second floor. The library
holds over 135,000 volumes, including print, audio-visuals,
and computer formats. Its holdings also include approximately
300 periodical titles in print and over 60 CD-ROM titles
in house with access to a variety of online resources and
interlibrary loan services. Students have access to the
Internet from the library.
